About Innovate NYC Schools

Innovate NYC Schools is an initiative of the NYC Department of Education’s iZone, a community of 250 innovative schools that implements and evaluates new models of teaching and learning. The iZone is dedicated to creating models for more quickly identifying, piloting, and evaluating promising edtech solutions.

INYCS supports and enhances the edtech ecosystem by encouraging collaborative design and smarter investments in educational technology. As with all iZone initiatives, the focus is on personalizing teaching and learning to enhance student outcomes and teacher professionalization.
