Android App Submission

Hello,

I was wondering if Android apps would be accepted in addition to iOS apps. I have a Android game that I would like to submit, so any clarification here would be great.

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for your interest in the NYC Schools Gap App Challenge. Per the Official Rules: "(i) Contestants must create a working software application which runs on an Apple iPad (via a mobile browser or downloadable app), a Windows or Mac personal computer, or on a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari) (each an “Application”)."

    We're big fans of the Android OS, but it is not currently compatible with the Proxy infrastructure deployed at NYC public schools. There may be future NYC Department of Education challenges where this platform restriction isn't part of the competition rules, but for now Android apps will not be eligible to compete.
