Meet the DOE: Common Core Edition

As part of its ongoing effort to help you better understand and build for the New York City Department of Education, Innovate NYC Schools will be sponsoring a series of small, informal chats with NYCDOE experts from different offices and divisions. The kickoff event is this Thursday!

Join us this Thursday

What: Learn about Common Core implementation and get your questions answered by two DOE experts who are responsible for building and sourcing Common Core instructional content.
When: Thursday, March 21 at 2:30 p.m.
Where: General Assembly, 902 Broadway, New York, NY 10010

Tracy Fray-Oliver will represent the Academic Evaluation team, which focuses on student–facing instructional resources aligned to the Common Core. Courtney Allison will join us from the Common Core Lab, which focuses on R&D for best practices in implementing professional development and policy district-wide.

Tracy and Courtney will speak about their experiences with Common Core implementation in NYC and what they look for in exemplary content. Then they'll take your questions! If you are considering entering the Gap App Challenge but aren’t sure if your curriculum– or PD–focused product will be relevant, this is a great opportunity to find out.

These sessions have extremely limited space and will fill quickly. Reserve your spot here with the code MTDCCEA.

Please Note: This is not a sales opportunity. No pitching will be allowed. Space is limited, so please RSVP. No-shows who do not notify Innovate NYC Schools beforehand will be placed at the end of the line for future events.
